A Surprisingly Big Dolcetto!
Prunotto has made wine for over a century in the Langhe!

Cantina Sociale "Ai Vini delle Langhe", a winemaking co-op,
was incorporated in 1904 in the city council room of Serralunga's Town Hall presided by Mr. Giacomo Oddero, a notary public and a youthful Alfredo Prunotto as a witness. Among those present at the ceremony were prominent citizens who made important contributions to the history of Alba andthe surrounding communities,
as well as many small local producers.
The first harvest took place in 1905.



The 2018 Piedmont wines are exceptional with a vintage rating of
93 Points from Wine Spectator.
All though this bottling was not rated, its clear 
time in the bottle has brought the beauty and complexity
of what typical is a softer/lighter style grape. 

Our Thoughts on this wine.....

Prunotto 2018 Dolcetto is pretty on the nose
with floral, ripe cherry, flinty and mineral aromas.
Ripe and fruity, exhibiting cherry, blueberry, blackberry and earth flavors. Lush and lingering on the long finish.
Drink now thru 2025. 550 cases imported.

Pair with any pizza, vegetable appetizers, cured meats,
and ideal complement to chicken or veal.
It is also excellent with meatballs, pasta with tomato sauce, risotto, and hearty beef or bean soups.
