AVERY BREWING CALLIPYGIAN IMPERIAL STOUT W/ CHOC,COFFEE,ETC

Calli is a blend of 40% Uncle Jacobs and 60% "decaf" Tweak. We then added espresso (but 1/3rd the amount of Tweak), vanilla beans (twice as much as Vanilla Bean Stout), and cacao nibs. 7 months total in barrels. "Cocoa, coffee, roasted malt aroma. Taste is slightly sweet roasted malt, cocoa, some vanilla, some oaky bourbon, with a coffee finish. Very full bodied but not sticky. Slight boozy taste at the end but tremendously smooth for 17%. Impressively smooth, and the slight booze in the finish almost gives a bittering balance to the malt. So full bodied and just really balanced. This is KBS, or CBS comparable, maybe slightly less smooth but only because of the slight boozy taste at the end. But so good."
