Dogwood & Thistle Wine Company
With the dogwood being the state flower of Virginia (where Erin was born and raised), and the thistle being the flower of Scotland (where much of Sandy’s family is from), the name represents our personal and professional backgrounds coming together to build a life, family, and business that we love.
Mendocino Sauvignon Blanc $24.99
The wine opens with tropical aromas of lychee, lemon blossom, lemongrass, and lime leaf on the nose, with nice crisp acidity, great zip and grassy grapefruit flavors on the palate. It is medium bodied for a Sauvignon Blanc, with a thought-provoking nuance, yet is easy-drinking at the same time. The mouth-feel is juicy and the finish is long and mouth-watering.
Oppenlander Pinor Noir $49.99
This wine starts with earth on the nose that opens up to rich, ripe fruit (specifically plums) and black tea leaves. Once you take a sip you can expect a firm, full entry into your mouth, crisp acidity, moderate tannins, and more black tea and plum flavors. This wine is rich and yummy. Drink now if you like (and decant if you’re feeling fancy), or cellar for 6+ months - it will continue to mature, develop and grow as time goes on.

There is a medium body with bright, jammy fruit when the wine enters your mouth which unfolds into a nice weight on the palate, leading into darker, plummy fruit notes. There is a fresh, mouth-watering, zippy finish that leaves you wanting more.
