This Weekend's Selections
Friday
Substance Chardonnay from Charles Smith $15.99

93 Points James Suckling!
"A straightforward, fruity chardonnay with sliced ripe apple and some vanilla character. It’s medium-bodied with a firm texture and a pleasing, juicy and flavorful finish. Hint of toasty character. Barrel-fermented with native yeasts. Drink now."  Winemaker's notes - The 2019 vintage was on the cooler side as it started slow with later-than-usual bud break and continued on to be fairly moderate throughout the year. Some vineyards had issues with an October freeze a bit earlier than usual, but our high-elevation vineyards have great air drainage which allows us to extend the growing season late into October without freeze. This yielded fantastic ripening and some awesome wines with incredible balance and character. Overall, we are excited about the wine produced in 2019, which has brought us more finesse, incredible flavors and lovely balance.

Harvey & Harriet Red Blend, Paso Robles $34.99
Moving to the reds, the entry-level Harvey and Harriet is always made in a richer, softer style compared to the classic My Favorite Neighbor cuvée.
This vintage offers a big, juicy bouquet of crème de cassis and jammy blackberries interwoven with lots of tobacco, cedar pencil, and earthy, foresty aromas and flavors.
This ripe yet medium to full-bodied, polished, elegant beauty will drink nicely for at least a decade.

Saturday
Kettmeir Pinot Blanc $17.99

The 2018 Alto Adige Pinot Bianco is a zesty and fresh white wine that shows crisp fruit and floral definition.
The bouquet remains smooth and subdued; however, it brings out pretty accents of citrus, peach, chopped basil and crushed mineral at various intervals. This gives the wine a very attractive sense of momentum and energy.
Pair this summer-fresh white wine with salads or light Thai flavors.

Marchetti Catro di San Silvestro, Rossso Conero $15.99
A firm and dry red wine, vinified with Montepulciano grapes.
Floral bouquet with complex oaky character.
Intense flavors with mature tannins and lingering finish.
