Four generations tell the history of Albino Rocca.
Today as in the past, our goal is to produce wines that reflect superior quality that is authentically tied to our territory – Barbaresco.

Winemakers since four generations.

Our history starts in the mid 1940’s when Albino Rocca’s father Giacomo started in the wine business initially selling grapes from family vineyards and later making his own wine that was sold in demijohn.
Thanks to the inheritance of some of our most precious vineyards in the 1960’s our grandfather was able to start what is now our winery Albino Rocca.

Albino’s hard work and his strong support of our father Angelo Rocca laid the foundation that created a family winemaking tradition that has grown internationally over the years. Our history has been built together, year by year.
First through the gradual acquisition of vineyards and the production of not only Nebbiolo, but also Dolcetto and Barbera in addition to our continuous effort to evolve the quality of our Barbaresco – which starts in the vineyards and continues in the cellar.

The Wines!!

Langhe Chardonnay Da Bertu¨ (2018) $21.99
An elegant and unique example of Chardonnay, reflected through the lens of Piedmont terroir. The nose is bright with pineapple, green apple, and flinty minerality. The palate leads with golden delicious apples, a touch of deep Meyer lemon, toasted brioche, and a slightly chalky finish. Lovely with seared scallops.

Barbera d'Alba (2018) $19.99
loaded with fresh berry flavors. The nose is defined by raspberry, strawberry, and blood orange, while the palate is round and lush. Red plums, dark cherries, and pomegranates combine with notable acidity at the close to keep this wine both lush yet to lean. Beautiful with tomato-based dishes or barbecue.

Langhe Nebbiolo Rosso di Rocca $22.99
Medium bodied, with fine yet powerful tannins, their Nebbiolo meets the nose with notes of rose petals, gravel, light espresso, and strawberries. The palate is similar: delicately floral, yet conversely aggressive, with elements of leather, red fruit, and dusty chocolate. And elegant pairing with any lean meat or game.

Barbaresco (2016) $47.99
Source primarily, but not entirely, from Montersino crew in Alba, this is a balanced, yet intense example of Barbaresco. It approaches the palate with all of the power and tannin that defines Nebbiolo so well, yet retains a mystique only found in Barbaresco. The narrative flavors of the wine seldom reveal themselves immediately, changing over the course of hours, or even days.

Barbaresco Montersini $59.99
Barbaresco Ronchi (2016) $69.99
Barbaresco Ovello Vigna Loreto (2016) $74.99

Montersino crew presents some of the most developed and spice driven Barbaresco in the Piedmont region of Italy. Located in a small hamlet in Alba, the soil bed in Montersino cru is calcareous clay, which adds a distinctly deep and mineral driven tone to the wine.  In previous years, the grapes from this vineyard were blended into their standard Barbaresco, but they are now seeing a limelight of their own, owing to their incredible power and grace.

The Beers!!

Captain Lawrence "Interstellar Fog" New England style IPA, 4 pack $20.99
Cloudy orange pour with soapy white froth. Wet lace. Juicy but watery.
Mango. Pineapple. Kumquat. Peach. Passionfruit. Mildly dank finish.
Dry hopped IPAs have always tasted hoppier, smelled richer and danker, before going through the centrifuge or filter. This is our salute to the brave brewers of New England that dared to do something new.

Jailbreak "Special Lady Friend" IPA, 6 pack $15.99

American IPA | 7% ABV | No IBUs

Special Lady Friend is very special indeed, an all Mosaic hazy IPA which results from the culmination of experience gained through the last year or so of thoughtful experimentation with varied yeasts, hops, and procedural techniques. Originating from a sturdy base of 2-row, white wheat, and flaked oats, Special Lady Friend boasts a purified expression of Mosaic, given that Mosaic lupulin constitutes 50% of the dry hop by weight. Overripe pineapple, candied orange, and the fresh essence of blueberry dominate the nose, while the palate experience melds into a pithy melange of tropical fruit, ultimately resulting in a dry, yet soft, elegant finish. Cheers!

Great Divide "Hopnaut" Double IPA, 6 pack $15.99
Brewed and double dry-hopped with an unearthly amount of Simcoe, El Dorado, Mosaic and Huell Melon hops,
this beer lifts off with over a pound and a half of hops per barrel.
Showcasing bold tropical fruit and citrus notes along with hints of berry, stone fruit, pine and bubblegum,
Hopnaut Double Juicy IPA is an extraterrestrial sensory experience.
